There seems to be a disconnect to some degree between various members of the community here about what constitutes "rude" comments, @#36396. Our [Code of Conduct](https://outdoors.codidact.com/policy/code-of-conduct) is intentionally fairly vague on that point, but it does say this:

Ah, yes, I should mention that the roads I'm referring to are very rural, with long stretches of windy, hilly roads with no streetlights. That does change things slightly. (more) |

@manassehkatz - why would road racing be off topic? It is most definitely an outdoor activity (leaving aside indoor trainers at the moment).
