Comment Post #286247 @#36396 Why so complicated? Simply searching for the very same title as this question gives multiple hits with the name, history and other trivia on the first page of search results, e.g. https://planetyze.com/en/japan/kumamoto/laputas-road

Comment Post #285595 only a couple of meters up the road from your location seems to be space besides the road with parking cars. What's wrong with that??? https://outdoors.codidact.com/uploads/hTmDRfW5qa5vWZTzr8BoSbJy

Comment Post #285475 Can you please use codidact's own image storing mechanism? Imgur is not a really good choice as it is blocked in several countries.

Answer A: Jig Radio, Wiesbaden?
I think the image was taken from the Hohe Wurzel mountain) (or one of the hills around it) looking over Wiesbaden. If one zooms in, such a viewpoint matches nicely the island in the river Rhine in the background comparison of original image with a screenshot from google earth (https://earth....

Comment Post #285336 This view over Wiesbaden would kinda match the island: https://earth.google.com/web/search/Donnersberg,+Dannenfels/@50.06298126,8.2117366,149.39191592a,4522.38351975d,35y,128.932504h,83.03543824t,-0r/data=CigiJgokCZEXW7aZgElAERosqssydUlAGXv6vhr9YSFAIT-0muSVACFA

Comment Post #285336 You're welcome! ... but I am really not sure if it is correct, so I think a comment is more appropriate. From my last visit to the area, I don't remember the Rhine to be quite so curvy around Wiesbaden, but many rivers were straightened since the time of WWII to allow for bigger ships, so it might lo...

Comment Post #285336 Maybe you could try to contact https://www.darc.de/der-club/distrikte/f/ortsverbaende/20/kontakt-ansprechpartner/ , that's the local amateur radio club of Wiesbaden - I bet if this transmitter is located anywhere near Wiesbaden, they will know about it.

Comment Post #285336 I'm wondering if the island in the river in the background (https://s3.amazonaws.com/storage.qpixel.artofcode.co.uk/fWyqFNQhGPE2sGWhqBWmNGmf ) might be the Königsklinger Aue https://www.google.com/maps/place/K%C3%B6nigsklinger+Aue/@50.0077306,8.0450489,11.85z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x47bd94d772906439:0x27b3...

Comment Post #284797 Another possible exception might be widely known pictures. For example the default background image of a major operating system is something a significant percentage of the world population sees every day. Asking about such a location can be interesting to more than one user. In contrast, asking to i...

Comment Post #280876 Powdered peanut butter might be easier to repack into a light bag - this will safe both the weight of the glass jar and one can measure out how much one needs for the trip instead of taking the whole jar.
