Where was this image of Wilcox Pass, Alberta taken?

I scanned pp 60-61 of the 2000 book Canada A Visual Journey by Tanya Lloyd Kyi.

p 61 identifies this as "Wilcox Pass", but can somebody please ID this on Google Maps?

Obviously the left image can't be Wilcox Pass, so it was probably taken from Wilcox pass. This was easy to find in Google Earth:

"Obviously the left image can't be Wilcox Pass" Why not?

Because it's not a pass. There is a slight dip in the ridge at the top center of the picture, but it would be a real stretch to call that a "pass". This is especially true when it's obvious that there are lower and easier ways to get from one side to the other on either side of this massif. But, those are at the fringes of the picture at best, so not what the picture is about.

I was only talking about the left picture, but the right picture can't be Wilcox pass either, since there is a river flowing thru it. A pass is a saddle point by definition, so regular flowing water, like a river, is impossible across it. It looks like upstream is to the right in picture. There could possibly be a pass further upstream or along the side. However, you woudn't say this picture is of the pass itself then.

Can you please link to this location on Google Maps or Earth?

I don't have Google Earth open anymore, so can't give you the coordinates. It was pretty easy to find. I had GE find Wilcox Pass in Alberta. Actually that just found the trailhead of the Wilcox Pass Trail. I went to roughly where the pass probably is, then looked around from there. It was easy to find the mountain. There is no reason you can't do that too. The longest time was spent lining up a reasonably similar view as in your picture.
