A: Easton Axis and Axis Traditional - are they basically the same? The Easton Traditional are slightly heavier GPI because (I think) of their wood decal wrap. The 400 spine Trad is 4.9 GPI where the same spine in the ST is 4.0 GPI. There are a few other minor differences in outside diameter, but all the components are otherwise identical. (more) |

A: Why is the US kill rating so different? Arbitrary rules are just that - arbitrary. One point of difference is that in 3D archery in the USA, you get exactly one arrow per target -- there's no concept of a "split kill".
