A: Outfitter does "game prep but not processing" Processing would be turning the field dressed animal into freezer size portions (e.g. like what you'd find in the grocery store at the butcher counter). Field prep (aka field dressed) would be just removing the entrails and, if it's a larger animal, quartering into a size you can carry out of the w... (more) |

A: Old fracture starts to hurt I'm not a doctor (just a runner) but there are too many scenarios that could be factoring in. My top three guesses, would be the following: 1) Get a lot of rest. It's surprising how long some seemingly basic injuries take. I'm still working through an ankle roll from two years ago, a tailbone injury... (more) |

How can I keep the loose ends of backpack straps from blowing around? I love my Osprey backpack but the waist belt is too long so the extra strapping ends up being about 2' long and annoying. I've avoided cutting it and have been tucking it into a pocket on the waste belt but would like to find a better solution. (more) |

A: Why would I want a pressurized hydration pack? 1) Can rinse items off. 2) A dog can use it. :) Someone gave one (Geigerrig "Rig 500") to me as a gift since he had leftovers from an event. The reservoir had a traditional water reservoir (clear) and a separate air reservoir (blue), which was inflated with a small shoulder mounted pump. Image be... (more) |
