Question Sailing with an infant
My wife and I are thinking about sailing with our 6 month old baby boy. We understand this is not something to take lightly, and we're planning either a canal/river sail or a sail in a very calm sea (considering my seasickness question). I wonder if there are locations you think are better for sail...

Answer A: Advantages to hammock camping on multi-night trips
Not a hammock camper myself, but I can think of a few: More ventilated in the summer. Lighter to carry - you don't need something to pad the place you're sleeping on and you don't need the same level of rigidness that a tent offers. I know the answer is "carrying dangerous substances and the light is an all-round red light" but I can't find where this is defined to make sure...

Answer A: Things to consider when choosing a sailing club
Variety and number of boats. Added price for fuel/weekends. Level of upkeep (how to check that?) Members to boats ratio, to know how easy it is to find an available boat. Special rules/limits (of people on the boats, maximum rentals per month, night rentals, etc...). Club activities. Membership can...

Question Things to consider when choosing a sailing club
Apart from the obvious like price and location(s) what should I look for when choosing a sailing club? Some of the things are difficult to assess, tips on assessment are welcome. I want this question to be the base of a comprehensive list of items to look for when choosing a sailing club. To be c...
