A: What is the best type of shoe to wear for crossing deep rivers? If I were you I would just grab a plastic bag and slip it over your boot. It's small, lightweight, and won't break in a backpack. Why are people so worried about Giardia? Everyone I have ever been camping with seems to have an unwritten rule never to drink from streams no matter how clear they might seem, for fear of Giardia. A: How to freeze a water container without deforming it? If you are okay with taking a more "hands on" approach, then it works to put the water in and then when the top layer is frozen over, then you poke a hole in the layer so that the rest of the expanding ice is not stuck. (more) |
