Answer A: A list of suitable foods for a long hike
For an evening meal... this stuff is GOLD!... Batchelors Beanfest. Unfortunately, only on sale in the UK as far as I am aware. But I live in NZ and can get them shipped. One packet feeds 2. With couscous or rice. Light. Nutritious. Yum!

Question Carrying hardboiled eggs when hiking
I am planning to hardboil some eggs and immediately, while hot, wrap them in cling-film before stowing in my pack. How long will they last before going off? (I am in NZ so eggs are not washed like in the Us. Not sure if that makes a difference once boiled anyway.) Any other suggestions for storing bo...

Answer A: What temperature to prepare for on Everest base camp trek?
I would add that I did Jiri to EBC in Feb 1992 (the coldest time of year?) and found it to be cold (4 season sleeping bag) but manageable. I am just re-reading my diary from the time - and the noticeable thing is that the cold is mentioned quite a lot - but my 'whining about the cold' is ALWAYS relat...

I would say that it is something to avoid. If you notice it now. You will notice it more when your feet swell. Or you get a small foreign body in there. Or your feet get wet. I would recommend continuing to look for a better fit. My (slightly psychological-based argument) is... If you buy them ...
