I didn't apply enough DWR treatment to my jacket, can I just add more? I went and applied grangers DWR treatment to my waterproof cycling jacket and put it in the dryer for a few minutes to set it. A: Cat-safe mosquito repellent? Conside using Picaridin which has similar effectiveness as DEET, but with fewer risks. I would of course try to avoid overexposing your cat to it due to thier grooming behaviors, i don’t think incidental contact with you after outdoor activities will pose a strong risk. Is it safe to drink out of a rusty thermos? I've got a thermos for coffee and/or water storage that I use on hikes and for bike touring since it keeps things hot for hours. A: What can I do about those obnoxious biting flies? I've heard good things about Badger Balm protecting from biting bugs. It's more of a natural repellant using citronella, cedar and lemongrass. I picked some up from REI to use on summer bike tours. (more) |
