−0

Rules that are always applicable are as follows:

  1. One photo per answer, and no more than 5 answers per user per contest.
  2. Post only photos taken by yourself/person with you.
  3. All entries should include a line of text with the location, subject, and date (specificity is up to you).
  4. Refrain from posting sensitive/debatable content
  5. Only upvotes count towards winning.

Rules for November are as follows:

  1. Emptiness - Photos that depict empty landscapes, places, things in the outdoors.
  2. The contest will last the whole month of November and to be clear, we use UTC, just like the site itself.
  3. There is no constraint on when the photo must have been taken.

Suggest a theme for the next contest.

  1. Leave a single comment below in the format THEME - ONE SENTENCE DESCRIPTION

Good luck!

Layers of wooded hills, with the occasional cliff-face and a small orchard

View from La Tejería; Puebla de San Miguel, Spain; early November 2020.

I took this photo just too late for October's autumn colours contest: this is as autumny as the colours get within two hours' drive of where I live. But when it rains, the rivers run brick orange with the iron oxides you can see in the nearer cliff and the soil of the orchard.
