I went to get something on my mountain bike checked out at the bike shop, and at the same time they told me that my brake pads were absorbing oil.
Short of replacing the disc brake pads, is there any way I can remove oil from the pads without ruining them? I replaced them not too long ago, so I'd like to avoid replacing them right now.
The brakes currently are fairly squeaky, but still lock the wheel up enough to do a stoppie. Doing more modulated braking isn't as effective as I'm used to, though.
Is there any way I can get the oil of the pads in a non-destructive manner?
